Well after tasting all the beer I could possibly fit in my stomach (which was a delicious idea), I went to the wedding of my now-rock-star ex-roommate. It was pretty awkward; I saw quite a few people from the past. Luckily, I had my wonderful brother there. Although it was hard for my socially-awkward self to manage, it was fun to reconnect and watch the interactions. I also finally got some one-on-one time with my friend. We went bar-hopping. Drinking water. Because we’re awesome. Of course later everything turned around on me.

I am very slowly coming to terms with being the lame extra friend to two people who I forced to hang out. My social life is slowly being reduced to nothing but listening to them tell me about how much fun they had when they went out the night before. By the time they’re done telling me about all of their stupid antics from last night, it’s time for me to go home and for them to close down the bars yet again. Rinse and repeat.  I am pretty sure the only reason I am even there is so they have someone to tell about all of their fun while they wait for whoever they want to go home with to show up.

I guess that is what happens when you’re the most grown-up (and the youngest) person in the group. Of course being only partially employed makes me feel less responsible, but I still won’t need to take out loans or avoid going home. To that end, I’m hoping to finally go back to the gym or try out my new bike seat today. Let’s see what the weather thinks about that….
